Our biggest problem is that 3 of our last 5 will need to come from Fuller and Crane. (Crane has been our worst bowler)

A win today after the Middx win yesterday would have almost made first place a certainty.

A loss today puts not even qualifying well into the mix.

Got to hand it to Sussex for a fabulous partnership but at 100 odd for 5 we should have not allowed this to happen.

Our bowling attack has been well and truly shown up today.

Magnificent partnership and a magnificent turnaround at the end.

What a game for Brendy to have witnessed.

Sussex must be gutted.

Crane is clearly a great death bowler!

Probably the best group game I've ever seen.

(I can't say the best game full stop I've seen, because of our habit of tied finals!)

The irony is, Crane was easily our worst bowler before those final two overs of his. The other bowlers, even Fuller, I really didn't think bowled badly - they just got done by an absolute wonder innings from Wiese. Whereas Crane was bowling a bit of dross.

But when he actually lands the ball, those last two overs showed what he can do. Particularly to tail-enders, who just can't play leg spin.

Fair play to Alsop as well. He didn't have a brilliant game behind the stumps, but he pulled off both stumpings in that last over.

(Don't get me wrong, I'd still take someone like Alsop as our keeper over someone like Bates any day of the week. Your keeper needs to be able to bat. But I don't think we'd have conceded the byes that we did with Bates.)

Danny Briggs had a bit of a mare and the BBC website needs to amend it's report on the game with reference to the last paragraph!

Such a weird group. We've won 6 out of 7, we have one foot in a home SF - and yet we could potentially still be knocked out, by finishing last in a four-way tie for first place.
