Woo-hoo. Huge win today for Yorks in balmy Spring against Leics. Big runs for ZBGB and a clinical bowling display, with Matt Pillans making a mark with five wickets. Great start.

ZBGB seems to have scored a lot of runs this season.

Big win for Durham too. And a couple of tons.

Yep. When Richardson was out on the final over the PA announcer claimed the 4th wicket partnership was a record in list A cricket - presumably a club record not a world record!

Won't be able to slag Richardson for a bit on the Durham thread.

His List A stats are ( dare I say surprisingly!) stellar - not played many matches for a 32 year old but I think most of them will have been in the past few seasons. He's got 3 hundreds and 9 half-centuries in 24 innings at an average of almost 57.

the one day cup was about the only decent thing he did consistently well last year. He did have the hundred in the surprise victory after following on against Leics in the CC along with Poynter, but that was about the only other success for him IIRC. In the one day cup he must have been our biggest run scorer by miles.

Just to show that he can still be slagged off.... I don't think I've ever seen a player dive over as many drives without ever stopping the ball as Richo today. Remarkable miss/stop ratio today... must have been 10-0

Yes! Not the greatest in the field.

Went to watch the Leicestershire innings, Pillans got his lines spot on and was just too quick. Poysden bowled reasonably well, though his four balls are too pickable and that has potential to be an issue on flatter wickets, smaller boundaries and better batsmen.

Bowling wise Yorkshire are well equipped to deal with Willey and Rashid being on England duty. It's having three tailenders and that might be an issue for the knockout matches if Yorkshire are chasing 350+.

3 matches and I think he's scored centuries in each of them. Similar story last year i think, or did I make that up?

I can't remember but have a feeling you're right.

I thought ZBGB had a nightmare start to last season then pulled it around a bit later on. But that might have been the season before...

Had a look and you're right - it was May last year when he took a break from the game so that must have also coincided with a terrible start to the season.

it was 2017. He started his season with ton, 50, ton, double ton in 2 of his first 3 matches, with just the 22 runs in the innings victory over Warks in between

blimey... where does the time go?
