That's the thinking behind allowing 5 days. Hours of play say 10.30-4.30.

If it's leadened skies, then the final session will be lost to bad light.

Difficult to add an extra half hour either end of play in late September, when dew becomes a factor in the morning and light becomes a factor in the evening. Ideally any grand final wants to be played to a result, so a true County Champion can be determined.

Let's hope we have an Indian summer then. It's not going to be an official championship so if there's no result so be it. Commendable thinking, though, that the season finale should take place at the home of cricket. Ideally televised f.t.a.

did you say 'free' there?

'free'?

how very old fashioned... no future there at all......... blimey, loads of people might watch it without paying anything more than their licence fee

daft idea. I think the way forward is to offer exclusive viewing rights to people prepared to pay lots of money for it, that way you can make loads of cash without bothering too many people or causing TV scheduling problems if it rains.... it's the way forward

I zoomed in.
Main discussions centred around plans for 1st August season. Confirmed as in Dobell's article but also pretty confident games will be open to spectators.
T20 will have same regional format but 10 games playing each opponent H&A.
Nursery/Academy ground now ready for use.
Still slim chance IT 20 will go ahead rescheduled for September.
Fairly confident regarding Durham's financial position, we're in a stronger position than most.
Refund of IT 20 tickets guaranteed as covered by insurance.
DCCC membership refund still under discussion, obviously dependant on how much cricket is accessible to members.

Maybe Italy are looking for a head coach?

whatever it is it would have to be a plum to give up the head coach position at moneybags Sorry, so I'm guessing it's either back in some capacity with Australia (although he did a bit of that before) or one of the bigger test nations.

How ssiped off would we be if he ended up as head coach of Derby?
