The club seem to be tweeting more than they do during the normal season!

Head down and heed the instructions of the medical experts. Only thing that bugs me are the sections of the media who criticize them for not providing answers to hypothetical issues.

going to be very strange. What are we going to tear out our hair over?

No collapse on day one of the season to 54-6 with the first 4 wickets falling in the first 5 overs...... I miss it already :facepalm

I don't think so. At some point in the ( hopefully) near future we may find out if this lockdowm was a vital measure or an absurd overreaction.

I think it is being exaggerated but I think the social distancing was essential to control the spread and a degree of exaggeration was required to get people to confirm to it.Opposition and media criticism asking for clarity really annoys,it's a new virus, no one can possibly predict how it's going to pan out. We have to rely and trust on the experts in the field-until then do as we're told.I've paid for my season card, won't claim a refund even in the event of no cricket.

Yes. I agree. They had to assume a worst case scenario and act accordingly.

If there was ever a sport that could almost have been designed with social distancing in mind, it's championship cricket. Once the restrictions begin to ease and life begins to return to normal (but with one eye still looking at the possibility of a second wave of infection, or something similar), championship cricket might very well be the most advisable form of the game to pursue, but as always the focus has been on prioritising the 'money' formats to the exclusion of everything else. In an uncertain time where nobody knows what may happen next with the virus, how likely a second wave is and at what pace it may develop, I'm sure that the ECB will come to the conclusion that the best policy will be to try and cram as many people into the grounds as they can, in order to make as much money as possible before further restrictions are needed again.

Good to see that DCCC are topping up the payments made to staff on furlough to keep them on full salary. I doubt you'll find Mike Ashley doing that

And if ever we need reminding of the beauty of 4 day cricket then this provides it - the final 2 paragraphs provide the perfect summary.

that was the game that won us the title really, IIRC. I'm sure Yorks were in with a genuine shout of the title themselves, but then my memory ain't what it used to be
