I see the spectator sport trial matches are due to resume after a 2 week pause. The article in The Times mentioned county cricket but gave no further details. It said October is still the official date for reopening venues to the public but that there will be trial events starting with the World Snooker final at the weekend.

Occurs to me Riverside could provide ideal venue for trial, where the trapdoor stand could provide a natural sanction for those contravening social distancing
