I hope they were good! Maybe we should feed our batsmen some mushrooms of the magic variety.
Or maybe they're already on them!

I always enjoy the Durham/Hampshire banter through the season, so I was surprised that none of the Hants regulars have started a Hampshire thread. I've now started one ...so feel free to pop over and congratulate us on the first win in the Bob Willis Trophy!

just noticed that we appear to be playing Leicester at Headingley, unless that's a provisional venue because of the local lockdown that's been recently unlocked

Sounds chaotic- understandable I suppose. I think they are reviewing the current regulations on the 18th, but I agree with you. Seems as if they are sticking with October as the date for opening up sports venues.

It's for Sky cricket coverage. Riverside is a bit too chilly for their precious commentators.

Listening to Franklin's interview post match on the website, it seems pretty clear that there will be some changes in batting personnel heading into the Grace Rd fixture.

there has to be, really. 3 of the 4 innings this season have been completely unacceptable

And the 4th one would have been another disaster without that 1 big partnership. I'd be tempted to put Harte at 3.

Rearranging wheelchairs on the titantic. The current selection is the best we've got sadly. Just got to hope we can turn it around.
Should have read deckchairs but maybe predictive text is more apt.

 Yes!
There aren't any other options in the squad who inspire confidence. The top 6 will only have Lees as a proven performer at Durham. Dickson may be useful but the verdict on him will have to wait until next season when he's had a good number of games. I'm not overly confident about him but Keht did offer a new contract so he must be decent.
