I naively hadn't even considered this, but Yorkshire have 3 home ties following on from 2 away ties........ giving them the very best opportunity to get spectators into Headingley should the pilot schemes be approved at some stage and the grounds get opened up to members. No money at the gate, of course, but with every opportunity to sell them stuff while they're there.

I wonder how that happened?

unless a couple of bits of covered seating and a few huts around the edge of a field constitutes a 'stadium' these days

It's typical of the governments snail pace movement towards some sort of normality. Although I do think ,once the two trial games in round 1 go without a hitch, the doors will be open for the second round. The wording of this article suggests they will be.

But this byline in the Times contradicts that

The approach outlined by the Minister makes no sense. Although changes seem to be coming thick and fast these days so the position could well change by tomorrow. I still think the grounds will be open soon.

Me neither. Having a wicketkeeper as captain makes his inclusion even more baffling because there's no chance of him being selected as a specialist batsman.
