and good to see that Gandalf had the sense to not throw the ball to Coughlin for a second over, or we'd have been chasing 150 instead of 131

To be fair to Ned Kelly, aka Gandalf, I assume he didn't ask to be captain. He's experienced at T20 admittedly but only joined the group days before T20 commenced. He appears to have the measure of the squad now. Taxi for Coggers bowling.
I told you that Raine was a good pinch hitter

Two excellent performances in a row, I seriously thought we'd not win a game after the woeful start but starting with the gritty fightback against Notts there have been quite a few positives. And we know the team will be improved next year.
Just need to have Borthwick signing confirmed, all the talk suggests it's a done deal but we need to know for sure.

Yes. I'm not sure we can read too much into this season.

Yes, Lyth gets a couple of early wickets. Worst fears realised.

Hmmm
reduced to picking up 3 or 4 singles an over as the RR plummets
normal service has been resumed it seems after a couple of matches to lift the hearts of the optimist and the foolish

Scoring rate is ok though. If the wickets don't run out.
