My grandson played against one of the young Benks boys, down near the racehorse ground years ago. I know it was a Benks boy, because the great man himself came down to watch. My grandson is 23 now, so I'm guessing it was an older brother

So there are 3 Benks juniors. I remember Benks missing a game for birth of No3.

I'd love to hear from our high performance coach the logic of persisting with Coughin whose performance has been far from high in both 1sts and 2nds. I can see Potts going elsewhere if he continues to be ignored.

80/2 at lunch. I'd definitely have taken that- although it may have been a good toss to lose as the overhead conditions went from cloudy to clear blue sky. Vital now of course to capitalise on this start.
Good job Borthwick got that 100 against Essex because the rest of his scores will probably add up to about 50. Not a concern yet because I think the dismissals have either been very early on or when there was a need to try and push the score on.
