Wouldn't be surprised if he calls it a day soon. Must be past the age England will repick him, and he's had stress fractures of the back before. Might just say it's not worth continuing.

Fletcher has never been the picture of health. After he wore that ball a few years back, maybe heavyweight boxing career would be on the cards

I suppose it depends on whether anyone is still prepared to pay him to keep going. Simon Jones was a player who was able to stay a player for years, despite almost never playing, after the injury that effectively ended his career.... even though it didn't.... but did, really
