I guess the real loser will be Gale, because surely Yorkshire will be appealing that wrongful dismissal charge he won?

George Dobell posted on Twitter that Andrew Gale is now pretending to me a woman on Social Media, and is using the fake account to stoke up support/attack Dobell...

today is supposed to be the day that the sanctions are announced

unsurprisingly, stony silence reigns supreme

perhaps the CDC are waiting for some other cataclysmic news to emerge before hurriedly burying the Yorks sanctions underneath it

48 point deduction in a comp they already had no chance of winning

4 point deduction in a completed comp they were already out of

400k fine

Yorks said they accepted the decision but were a bit disappointed with the points deductions...... which I interpret as them them thanking their lucky stars that they got away with a single season penalty and not the sort of structured penalty system designed to ruin them and keep them with the ECB' foot on their throat for many seasons to come. I also note that that they haven't received a points deduction for the only competition that has yet to be played and which they weren't already out of

perhaps I should let it go..... I expected nothing less

Looks as though Graves might be putting the band back together

from the cricketer

During his appearance in front of the CMS select committee last month, Graves was asked directly by Clive Efford MP whether any of the 16 dismissals staff could be re-employed. "It has not been discussed by the board," the ex-ECB chair insisted.

The following week, however, The Cricketer reported that Mark Arthur, chief executive between 2014 and 2021, was to be re-engaged by Yorkshire in a consultancy role.

The report into historic allegations of racism and discrimination at Yorkshire criticised Arthur for being "dismissive" of complaints and for expressing a "lack of concern". Former chair Roger Hutton also told the Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) select committee in 2021 that Arthur had attempted to prevent further investigation into the racism allegations.

It also emerged that others who left the club in the wake of racism revelations that emerged in 2020 could also be invited to return.

no wonder Goughie got out quick, once Graves got control of the club once more
