he's going to bat 6 for England, seemingly, so this is good practice. What he won't get with England is the sort of platform he was given today.

I went onto the live feed and rewound back to the start. It was a pretty astonishing innings. I imagined that there must have been a short boundary somewhere, or that Worcs bowled rubbish, but neither appeared to be the case. A lot of the sixes looked effortless. I think he changed his bat once he'd played himself in and then switched into six mode, but I couldn't swear to that. Whether he did or not it was a demonstration of clean hitting, great timing and sheer power. If he takes that sort of form into the first test, it'll bode well.

Took the spinner for 5 sixes followed by a four in one over and looked really cross that the four didn't make it over the rope

It certainly isn't. There are ongoing disciplinary investigations against both clubs on the issue.

As I see it, one got a fine to draw a line underneath it and the other got all the ECB controlled revenue streams returned to them for replacing everyone whose positions had become untenable anyway...... as is usual, perceived crimes against people are punished less severely than perceived crimes against money

It's going to be very interesting to see how ECB wangle their way out of a mess largely of their own making. Specifically Mr Harrison who will no doubt fade away quietly with his nice big bonus intact.
Undoubtedly lots of innocent reputations tarnished. Nevertheless deserves the moniker "Racists Derby".

It's important imo to dredge it up as much as possible....the only punishment Yorkshire got was returned to them within a couple of weeks. I want to see a proper punishment for those involved.
