It's Wayne Parnell. Don't know how he has been faring recently but seems a good T20 signing.

the only thing I can think of is that one of the changes to the laws for this season, along with bonus point changes and so on, allows counties to have up to 4 overseas players on their books, although only two can play at any one time.

Maybe we've just signed our full quota as part of the positive, proactive changes at Durham CCC? I'm not aware of an injury to Bedders. Perhaps we're holding him back for the CC matches in June and July. Are we just keeping our options open depending on the grounds and conditions we're likely to face in the T20? Will Patel be involved if we face a raging bunsen somewhere and we feel as though 3 spinners might be necessary?

blimey... so many questions

what seems clear is that we aren't worried about our finances anymore

and I also reckon that Borthwick will be rested in this comp

From what North says it's a response to so many bowlers being unavailable for one reason or another. Sounds as if Bedingham will be sacrificed to get Parnell in. Mitch Killeen is the latest injury casualty and they must be expecting to be without Carse & Coggers for a fair while - how unusual!

I wonder how they're suddenly able to afford these signings. They used to claim having thin squads was down to finances - now they've got 4 overseas players at the same time!

I don't mind them resting Bedders, tbh. I don't remember him being a big hitter of a ball, although that be my memory letting me down

I imagine leaving him out makes it easier to fit McKinney in without leaving Jones out, and they seem to think that he's a big biffer of a ball

I guess that gives us

Lees, Jones, Clark, Turner, McKinney, Robbo (pick your order)
Trev, Parnell, Raine, Glover, Sowter

with Bas dipping in and out when available

And I don't think he was fully fit last year and played at least some games because there was no one else. I agree, much better to keep him fresh for the CC.

is anyone else having a problem with the club website?

my laptop won't let me go into the site, because it says it poses a security risk. Even when I try the link that WL gave me I get the same message. It doesn't happen on any other site that I go on

Yes. It sometimes won't load at all and I've also had that security message. It's pretty hopeless!

I just noticed an article today in the Cricketer which says we've brought in Shaun Tait to work with our fast bowlers on their T20 plans.

Maybe that's why it's a tad erratic! Seriously though, sounds like a good move, lots of experience.

Article on ESPN- about players out of contract at the end of the season - claims we are looking to sign Callum Parkinson- although his brother is also in the last year of his Lancashire contract.
