Well they have signed. Tongue, Stone and Broad will play 4 or 5 cc matches at the start of the season. I can't see all three in the England Test squad at the same time.

Stone will be injured, Broad will only turn out for the matches played at that summer's test venues, Tongue will be wrapped up in cotton wool in case Wood gets injured at the IPL and Ball, if he isn't injured, will have forgotten what a red ball looks like

more likely it will be Fletcher, Paterson, Hutton and maybe one of the above

The Test bowlers tend to only do ok in their few county games. Maybe pacing themselves or making sure they don't get injured. But Tongue is an interesting signing.

When I think about it you are absolutely right.

Worcs fans weren't happy seeing pics of Pennington in Notts kit and didn't want either of them back at the club for the remainder of the season.

Makes sense for teams to open with a nighwatchman when there's 1 over left in the day but Middlesex did it tonight with 5 overs to bat. Opened with Stoneman and Ethan Bamber. That seems odd, worked though because they both survived.
