Another one bites the dust. Yorks need something from Bess here, or it's goodnight Vienna.

Durham might need to wrap this up tonight. Weather not so good tomorrow.

Thunderstorm due at 12md tomorrow, so maybe enough time for Durham to get there, if they can.

Yorks might do it in two balls...

Very dramatic day! I thought, given the s scores in the first 3 innings, 250 would more likely be defended than chased down. Raine and Potts might just do it but I think Yorkshire will prevail. I'm assuming Carse will bat but he must be pretty incapacitated.
It seems now that the pitch and not the overhead conditions are keeping bowlers on top - both sides have found it hard to score in the gloom and the sunshine. It's been an excellent game though, I think it was Atherton who said conditions where the bowlers have the edge often result in more interesting games.
Durham's extras might prove to be the difference here but if Yorkshire win I think that partnership between Malan and Bairstow will be the main reason - they did very well .

Not that many to knock off though. Durham have a couple of all rounders, including the bat to come in. Impossible to predict.

Good match.

Yes, a memorable game. Carse injury sounds serious, the way Ryan Campbell was talking it seems as if he will be out for a while. RC says he will bat tomorrow if required and might slog a couple of sixes!

I'm with the Capt

I think Durham had to do it today. Fresh bowlers, batters having to start again. There have been quite a few questionable lbw decisions in this match and I can see another one early tomorrow. According to crapinfo, Michael Jones was given out 'on the totting up rule', in that there had been so many appeals against him during his innings that eventually the umpire stuck up his finger, despite the appeal having almost no more merit than any of the others

Looking at a lot of the dismissals, the ball seems to be jagging around sharply from the foot marks. The ball that bowled Lees pitched about as far away from the stumps as the Strauss ball. One of the Yorkshire batsmen got out to a Raine ball that pitched miles outside off and ripped back into him trapping him in front of off stump offering no shot....... why would he....... the ball was pitched up a little bit and on about 6th stump.... jagged back a mile

Plenty of balls are keeping quite low too, seemingly, so there really isn't much there for the Durham lads to work with tomorrow.

I agree. In his interview Campbell jokingly suggested we'd have liked an extra half hour after Yorkshire took theirs but I think he meant what you say - most likely chance of getting those runs is if we didn't have to start again tomorrow.

Durham scored slowly though. There was time to win it on the day.

Not likely to see the new ball, I guess.
