Yates again.... Robbo holes out for 52

He's quite a pie merchant, seemingly, but 191, 7 wkts and a couple of catches ought to see him rewarded with a new contract immediately.... we have a habit of helping players out that way

Pottsy moves onto 133 and our lead is 90 with 5 wickets in hand

keep batting boys.... don't give them a sniff of batting again

Yates just needs to bowl 5 more overs this afternoon to match his entire bowling output for the whole of last season

it's a nonsense really

match drawn

Potts 149 not out

what a bonkers game. Opening bat takes 7 match wickets and an opening bowler scores 193 match runs

the ECB do have some stupid ideas

we go into match 3 without a single bowling point to our name

Excellent innings from Potts, the unlikely saviour! The rest of the batting ordinary with too many soft dismissals.
Before his 7 wicket haul Yates had only taken 8 in his entire career!
BBC mentioned Boland has a " sore heel".

Hopefully just as a precaution but niggles sometimes end as lengthy layoffs!

no it doesn't. Although PF can be managed (and it looks like it has been), I'm not sanguine that CA will allow it when the primary treatment is rest and he could be having several months with his feet up

My thoughts exactly. CA could withdraw him at any stage of the recovery process and we'd be in limbo.

both he and Potts can only play in 5 of our first 7 matches. Hopefully someone has had the good sense to make the washed out game one of the 2 they have to miss....... but I won't hold my breath

Me neither.

Hogg is an interesting pick. He doesn't appear anywhere in our squad lists (neither does Stan Mc, Luke Rob or others), but crapinfo tells me he's a medium fast bowler

Presumably Bas will play at 7, so two of Jones/Coggers/Hogg will miss out. I'm tempted to assume Coggers will provide a 4th seamer option, but why is Hogg there? We scored plenty of runs last week, so no place for Jones, I reckon
