indeed
I was fancying a trip down, but I'm still recovering from whatever cold/flu thing has laid me low for the last 5 days, so cold and wet cricket probably isn't a good idea
assuming there is any play, that is
big brollies and lots of blankets would seem to be the best approach for those hardier than me

I hope you're feeling better soon! Forecast looks reasonably dry for tomorrow but not for the rest of the week.

well, we're underway, we're batting and we're bombing along at a run a ball
No Lees, Borthwick, Parky, Robbo, Bedders, Clark or Carse in the side
Potts, Raine and Ackers are there though, alongside Bas and the corporal
68-0 after 11 overs

it's gloomy and soggy here, so conditions at the ground must be similar

the corporal run out for 30, which won't do his cause any good, then 2 balls later capt McKinney bowled for 40 by Sam Martin-Jenkins.... is he related to RMJ and CMJ I wonder? He seems to have links to Sussex, so perhaps

He probably is related to them. Wonder if he's RMJ's son?

well, that's what I was wondering. his profile says he's a 20 year old fast bowler, which would be an unusual thing, because 20 year old's are usually described as medium bowlers until they build their strength and speed up
Ackers brings up his century
we are 227-3 after 47 overs

Ackers is now more than a hundred runs ahead of Bushnell despite only facing 18 deliveries more
143 for him and 278 for us

Bushnell has just chipped one straight back to the bowler and is out for 41

and he isn't hanging around
50 partnership up in 26 balls
Ackers 163 off 126
Coggers 32 off 15
we are 331-4 off 55

Yes. I've just got here and the second innings is about to start.
