They got beat. Game was heading for a draw until George Dockrell took 6 quick wickets in their 2nd innings. Somerset just needed 75 to win, lost 4 wickets but won easily in the end.

Neil Dexter has 'temporarily' stood down as Middlesex captain because of poor batting form, Chris Rogers is taking over.

he will still be captain in limited overs cricket, and door is being kept open for him to return as captain of the 4 day side, if he wishes too

Angus Fraser disappointed in Eoin Morgan not turning up to Old Trafford on time for the Middlesex CB40 game against Lancashire, due to a lengthy train delay.

Middlesex knew of his plans and didnt intervene, doesnt really have a leg to stand on.

One wonders if a one way flight from London Heathrow to Manchester Airport was an option, then Morgan could return home on the team bus.

Just one of those things really, Morgan very unfortunate for him to travel 7hrs from London to Manchester. I wonder if he'll be getting compensation and free rail travel?
