They got beat. Game was heading for a draw until George Dockrell took 6 quick wickets in their 2nd innings. Somerset just needed 75 to win, lost 4 wickets but won easily in the end.

Neil Dexter has 'temporarily' stood down as Middlesex captain because of poor batting form, Chris Rogers is taking over.

Angus Fraser disappointed in Eoin Morgan not turning up to Old Trafford on time for the Middlesex CB40 game against Lancashire, due to a lengthy train delay.

One wonders if a one way flight from London Heathrow to Manchester Airport was an option, then Morgan could return home on the team bus.

Just one of those things really, Morgan very unfortunate for him to travel 7hrs from London to Manchester. I wonder if he'll be getting compensation and free rail travel?

"Discarded England batsman Kevin Pietersen has signed a new contract to play for Surrey this season. Pietersen will play in the revamped Twenty20 Blast, but could also appear in first-class and 50-over games depending on other commitments."
