The offensiveness of a term is of course highly subjective - we can all think of terms which have varying levels of offensiveness depending on their context - this word could be incredibly offensive or nothing but banter however we're not given the context to back up the headline.

Reminds me a little of the Harbie - Symonds spat over the word monkey, both parties from different backgrounds would be entirely justified in their interpretations of the word.

There is nothing useful, interesting or informative to add to the situation. The 'translation' feels desperate and needy. I just ended up feeling sorry for people who work for the Daily Mail.

I found the change between this article and the one from Monday from being able to print "ECB sources" to just "Sources close to the dressing room" fairly interesting Arthur.

Then again I'm probably the only one who will and I was really looking forward to having a good Anti ECB rant as well, drats.

As D/L said in the Prior thread, there is a hell of a lot of speculation on this entire issue and I extend that well beyond just posters, so I do find it slightly interesting to try and keep track of where all this information we're being presented with is supposedly coming from, call it perhaps an occupational hazzard.

Living as I do in the Netherlands I have discovered that doos is a vulgar word for vagina. I think that puts it's use by Pietersen in perspective.

No, KP has been a total Diva this summer, and calling your captain the c word, even if it is colloqual africans/dutch slang, totally out of order but then we're supposed to forgive him this.

as i've said before M_S, the ECB has done what they have considered the best in the interests of English cricket, like it or not they are paid to take these decisions could they have handled it differently maybe but then so could KP.

In fact its KP thats been pushing the agenda, and im sorry but one scripted youtube video produced by his agent, isnt enough to appease a lot of people, I'm one of them.

All this 'I wear my heart on my sleve', 'I'm passionate about england', is pure *******, all KP has ever cared about is KP, England were a means to an ends, namely raising KP's profile, as i've said in the past you cannot allow players to pick and choose the games they play.

What happens to young Bairstow, or Taylor do they immediately get thrown on the scrapheap for the next 5-6 years only playing 1-2 tests a year when the IPL is on? What type of message does that send to the players that come in to take his place, you can do your best but even if you score a double you're out because KP decided to play.
