If I were Andrew Strauss I'd be in no hurry either. The man is an absolute liability and one good knock in 20 shouldn't excuse what he's done. If KP refuses to grow up then he needs to be dispensed with. Immediately and permanently.

Thank you, that proves he's not been so far ahead of the others as to warrant all the extra time and effort it takes just to keep a lid on him. im guessing you havent seen the delivery that dawson got kp out with, was an absolute snorter pitched leg hit off, would have got many a batsmen out first ball.

That is exactly it. KP can win matches for any team he plays in, no-one has ever denied that. The problem is the problems, tantrums and diplomacy required in coaxing him through from one match-winning performance to the next. And, as I said, comparisons of different games where others weren't playing is always a fruitless task. For all we know KP could have quite easily been bowled by Peterson or bounced out by Parnell third ball for nothing and we'd have done no better. Taunton especially is a ground where the odds are always slightly tipped toward the batsman anyway.

There seems to be absolutely no doubt over KP as a player even those who are supporting ECB. The issue is about KP adjusts to the coach,captain,team mates and board.

To some, perhaps. To others, they will have seemed a team simply outplayed by superior opponents.
