I hope he is in it - because I cant spend the rest of life reading about how we miss Kp every time we dont win as if we won every game that he ever played in.

Though I will miss moments like Piers Morgan tweeting in the middle of an ODI about us missing Kev cos we were 69 for 3 - same Piers Morgan who vanished when we then won the game. :clap

It's KP throwing his wicket away after making a start and getting annoyed with him I'll miss the most.
"Stats are there to be broken" Dominic Cork
"They took all our players away, banned our captain and we still came away with a ten-wicket victory" Jason Gillespie
"You won't get anywhere slouching about half out of bed" Geoffrey Boycott

I'd prefer Monty. Can't see why you have to take the same type of spinner as cover.

Regarding our old mate, KP. I agree with what Cork said last night. If he has or were to meet the players/coaches or at least the important ones and say "I was wrong and I'm sorry" then he should return.

I’d have thought that being the same type of spinner as our first choice would be a good reason for being chosen as cover.

Panesar is simply not good enough in other areas of his game to be chosen ahead of another spinner who can bat a bit and field too. With their ability to play spin on their home tracks, I doubt India will fear Panesar at all. He has so little variety to his bowling that, other than giving a paceman a rest and perhaps being economical, it is difficult to see how he may contribute.

Regarding, Pietersen, perhaps he has already been asked to do that and, for some reason, hasn’t.

Morris on KP;

"There are issues still to be resolved Kevin has not been considered for selection for the India tour"

Seriously how can there still be issues to be resolved? It should either be yes or no by now.

I don't see KP coming back after this. As a commentator in twenty20 , KP's preference will not go well with the ECB.
