This is becoming rather pointless to say the least, those who have professed repeatedly that they don't want to see KP back in the team are now switching to what are essentially conspiracy theories to continue their argument.
With the ECB having made up it's mind there really does seem little reason to continue to indulge this matter.
Oh, not the old conspiracy theory chestnut when there is disagreement with a plausible theory put forward. Most conspiracy theories I have heard have at least an element of incredibility.
The Pietersen camp’s reaction to the reporting of the texts should be the clincher that he behaved disgracefully. Despite this, that the ECB want him back in the team can only be down to other considerations overriding principle.
The “I didn’t think they were offensive, but I can see how others might” explanation simply does not hold water and it is surprising how it seems to hoodwink some.
