Greece are probably the 2nd worst team i've seen this World Cup (after Honduras). 60 minutes against 10 men and only scored once. Had a 5 on 2 situation and messed it up. Their defence is pretty solid but their attack is absolutely useless.

Pretty poor match, qualitywise (very negative from both the sides) but penalty shootouts are never dull (as long as England are not playing)! Pretty amazing from Costa Rica to hold on for those extra 30 mins under the extreme heat with just 10 men (and they were a player down about 25 mins before the end of normal time). And then to come back and convert all 5 of those penalties was quite unbelievable although the Greece goalkeeper will probably a bit disappointed with his efforts as none of those penalties were unstoppable unlike say, Aranguiz's last night. Navas was brilliant during normal and extra time and made a crucial save at a crucial juncture in the penalties.

So far my predicted quarterfinal lineup is looking good. Can't really see France, Germany or Argentina losing their matches but Belgium vs USA could be interesting. Belgium haven't played as well as I expected them to whereas USA have punched above their weight. Still back the former to go through but that could be another one that goes into extra time/penalties.
The other 3 matches should see comfortable, straightforward victories for the fancied sides.

He did make the most of it, but the penalty was the right decision for me.
