Only just heard they were interested today.

Yesterday onwards i think.

Bit like the Ozil deal last year. No one knew anything until the last day.

Of course, defence is the main worry but you don't turn down the chance to sign Falcao when he's available.

So are you expecting more players to come in today?

Still not really seeing how these players fit into a system. Surely he has to ditch the 3-5-2 now?

Yep, needs to go back to 4 at the back.

Whens Shaw meant to be available?

I presume De Blind will be the DM?

I mean what will a fully fit United team look like and how will they play?

Definitely. It is a worry that not only does he have 3 at the back but he has the inexperienced Blackett in there at present.

I don't really see where Mata can fit in as you don't want him on the wing. If Mata plays centrally then Rooney is on the wing where he's also ineffective...

As for RVP, he's not as good as Falcao and if both are to play in the same team then i guess RVP would be on the wing as Falcao only plays as a lone striker.

bit surprised by the falcao move , would have thought man utd had more important needs than a centre forward

arsenal fans will be spewing as they desperately need a quality centre forward

It does seem strange that Man United don't have any wing backs at all, and are weakest at centre back, so play a team that has the most CB's needed, along with asking two players to play out of position. Not sure if Van Gaal has lost his mind.

Still, this will be more money laid down by United, and another issue not solved.

I'd argue that Rafael could be a very good wing back. He's not great defensively, so to have slightly less defensive responsibility by playing wing back rather than full back could suit him down to the ground.

But it's been quite widely reported that LVG doesn't rate Rafael. (And as a full back, I wouldn't totally agree with that).

Oh of course Utd do. But it doesn't mean that you reject the opportunity to improve your squad elsewhere, should the opportunity arise.

Look at us. We sold players all over the place this summer, and then went and spent £10m on Forster - despite GK being one of the few positions where we didn't sell! But it doesn't mean that we shouldn't have purchased Forster. I have no doubt that he will strengthen our team.
