Really bad move by United, selling on the cheap someone who is a fantastic prospect. A loan move for a year might have made sense but selling is bad business.

man utd fans on another forum I use are almost celebrating getting as much as £16M for him

I think its a good deal for arsenal , with how crazy transfer fees have got paying that amount for a 23 y/o established England international who counts as homegrown for Europe etc etc is more than acceptable business I would have thought

I don't think its enough for him. I'm really sad to see him leave tbh. We're helping Arsenal get top 4.

Arsenal need a goal scoring CF, and although I like welbeck, he isn't one. Like at Utd, he'll chip in.

if hes given a regular starting spot at arsenal through the middle , which should happen , then I think its a good move for them

giroud is injured atm but I think he brings much better mobility than giroud even when fit and that's something arsenal have been missing imo , and hes a better footballer than the likes of sanogo

how often was he actually played as the main striker at utd tho , he was used on the left wing in the majority of his games

apparently it's a done deal for Wellbeck and we only got £16m :d'oh:

I think Wellbeck is on the verge of breaking through to being real quality, i think he'll be better than Sturridge. A lot of his games at Utd have been playing wide left, whereas he is really a CF so if he gets a runh of games at CF I think he could be a revelation.

He did at times, during his early spell, but he's no 20 a season man, well not imo. Still, with Giroud back, and Walcott, that's a decent front three.

giroud is out for the rest of the year , it will likely be a front three of sanchez , Walcott and wellbeck with ozil hopefully in the central AM role

I thought it was till xmas? Sanchez then. To think Remy was going for £10m though. He would have been a better buy.

those 2 should have gone

still no defender signed. Micah Richards would have been a decent signing

In two minds about this Welbeck transfer. He is clearly not the finished article but he could be a decent prospect to invest in. We've got a decent fee but there is no time to buy another player now. With Giroud out, he should play CF for Arsenal so that gives him an opportunity to demonstrate his full potential, might not be a bad thing for the national side.

Still no CB then.... :no :facepalm

Falcao is a decent signing and with RVP out, we needed a world class CF. Still the main issues are yet to be addressed. Hard to see us getting anywhere near the top 4 tbh.
