The beautiful game!

Didn't he say he wanted him on loan, I assume as injury cover? It could be his way of saying to his current strikers, that he still feels they're good enough.

Odd that Arsenal would sign him without Arsene pinpointing him or giving the green light.

If Arsene didn't want gm then club have f*cked up, maybe a sign Wenger won't be around next season ? And they are building for after him ?

if he plays sanogo in front of wellbeck against city on Saturday I expect there to be a lot of pretty angry arsenal fans

even if wenger didn't want to buy him I cant understand why he would say so in public as it must surely undermine wellbeck before he has even played a game

Surely Wenger has a big say on transfers. Find it odd if not.

strange that the bbc report specifically says wenger would not have approved the signing if he had not been out of the country

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he would not have signed striker Danny Welbeck on transfer deadline day had he been in the country.

The 23-year-old left boyhood club Manchester United in a £16m switch to the Gunners while Wenger was away in Rome for a charity game.

Wenger said: "If I'd stayed at home he wouldn't be here now."

Yeah it's sensationalist. I read elsewhere he's saying if he wasn't up so early to travel it wouldn't have been done.

Hull City are now up for sale.

Odd that Bruce was backed in the transfer market.

Phil Jones out for a month ffs. Smalling already injured.

So if we're still playing 3 at the back, it's Evans(coming back from injury), Blackett(first prem season), Rojo(Debut).

Cheeky bet on QPR?

Considering Young is out, as well as Reece James. If Shaw can't start I presume Blind is left back. He looks crap at left back tbh.

If United don't beat QPR by atleast 3 goals, van Gaal should be sacked and have to re-pay the 150mil he has spent as manager.
