England have played well, tbh. Not allowed Scotland much time on the ball, which has led to us getting it back. Gone flat now.

I think after last night where a leg break was a real possibility with some of the reckless tackles flying in, the clubs will be having a quiet word to make sure that doesn't happen again.

I didn't see any leg breaking challenges? A couple of hard ones, and an elbow/forearm, which may have seen red in a competitive match.

There was a moment in the second half when Rooney went into Fletcher quite hard after chasing him down endlessly, and I think it was Scott Brown responded by trying to kill Jack Wilshere with a incredibly strong challenge. The ball popped out between (I think) Welbeck and another Scottish lad and both went in 100% full bloodied for the 50-50 by sliding into the ball...... for about 30 seconds you anticipated someone would get hurt because each challenge lead to an escalation of aggression , in fact in the first half too when Welbeck and Robertson were on the byline and kicking each other, you just thought at one point someone is going to get hurt here.

Foul of the night has to be Oxlade-Chamberlain being rugby tackled by Charlie Mulgrew, who was running into the man in the opposite direction of the ball. To coin a Pardew phrase, he absolutely "racked" him.
