The only worrying thing is that although Man U are supposedly good opposition they were pretty ordinary last night and Soton should have beaten them.

Sloppy from both sides, but at least Man U are some how getting it done. The first goal though was simply brilliant.

Can't understand why the commentators are going nuts over the offside since it took them 5 replays from 12 different angles at 40 times slow speed and a snickometer to be sure. Having said that I thought it was offside in live motion.

He wasn't when Young played the ball in but it got a touch on the way which put Mata offside. I don't think the ref saw it.

Yeah I can't blame the ref for that one, even if Liverpool had if scored that. As I said they all had to look at the replays to be sure and even then it's not 100% from all angles. I still haven't seen a replay that shows it hit Van Persies head, but there does appear to be a deflection.
