what haters of the world cup ?

People that ridiculously only like Test cricket and b**tch/moan about the World cup all the time.

and as I have discussed with you before this isn't a binary world

people can prefer test cricket over ODIs but still enjoy the world cup , doesn't make them "haters"

i'll ask you a couple of questions.

are you happy with the format of the world cup which lasts 7 weeks and has 42 games before anything meaningful really happens ?

are you happy with the decision to remove associates from the next world cup ?

coz as far as I am aware those are the biggest criticisms most people had of this world cup

Personally don't think there anything wrong with the current format 14 teams 2 groups and 7 Knock-out games although I would tinker with it and add playoffs to it so group games have more meaning.

No I am not happy with associates not being in the next world cup.
People have been moaning about the world cup for years.

I hate people that only like Test cricket and moan about other formats not being real cricket.
In reality if you like cricket you should like all formats, although you can prefer one format but if you really a cricket fan you wouldn't b**ch/moan about other formats of the game since it is the same game.

and who here is doing that ?

isn't it a bit hypocritical to be moaning at people for preferring test cricket whilst at same time describing that opinion as "ridiculous" ?

Just making a point that ratings of the World cup are high and people saying no one cares about World cup or ODI are clearly wrong.

and I am asking you to show where people are saying that ?

just because people might prefer test cricket doesn't stop them enjoying ODIs too

by your own words cricket fans, and most if not all of the people on this site are here because we are cricket fans, can enjoy both formats whilst preferring one

I am not talking about people on this site, just making a general comment.

Although I might mention the person on Twitter that supposedly never watches ODI/T20 and will not watch the world cup because is not real cricket and when I asked him if he prefer a England world cup win or a test win over Bangladesh he chose Test Win over Bangladesh.

And what's wrong with that? I know a fair few cricket fans who would rather see Lancashire win a limited overs Cup than England win the World Cup.

It looks like NZ have named squads to tour England this early summer. But whenever I click on the headline, I end up somewhere else on the site. So I don't know what it is.

Cricinfo now does this to me far more often than not.

Cricinfo drives me mad.

If I can't get decent updates on the county scores this season without it taking me an age to find them I'll be looking elsewhere.

Very inconsiderate of the Kiwis to pick Guptill, don't they know there's a county season about to start! Derbyshire will have to make other plans.
