They chose to bat in their first home game last year and were bowled out by Sussex for 87 ( someone mentioned it on Twitter). Not sure if that was a factor in the decision today. Must be often a temptation to bowl first in April so maybe they thought it a low risk approach given what happened last year.

No Wood down the order this time (but to be fair to Benks, we shouldn't be needing someone to have to come in and no.9 to help save us).

Need to this middle order batting sorted very quickly. A 40+ from Wheater here would be a start.

Slightly worrying that Briggs has come in ahead of Adams. Would suggest that age and injuries have caught up with Adams, and he can't swing the bat like he used to (he has three FC 100s).
