Only five overs for Stokes. Cook sees him very much as a fourth seamer.

Fifty for Marlon.

But (Alfie's safely asleep) having five bowlers does leave England with rested bowlers to go to in overs 60-80.

It's swinging like reverse swing, but with the green outfield, you wouldn't count on reverse swing.

you would think there will be an extra 30 mins unless it gets dark

stokes is bowling a better length and 5mph faster than both broad and jimmy

cooks drop starting to look costly

They can normally make up any time lost I think. But as Nas said they are back 15m early tomorrow, I'd guess they are going to make an hour up. Which would mean 11pm. Just a guess.

He enjoyed getting stuck into Anderson in the last series in England.

13 overs left. Logically, if 2300 is the close of play, they should be allowed up to 30m to finish those off...

Outstanding bowling, this by Stokes on a dead track. Astonished that people actually rate the likes of Woakes, Plunkett and Jordan ahead of him.

Only really Cook, Bell, Anderson and Broad left from Flower's England. If we ignore Trott. I'm inclined to feel I'd be happy for all of those to move on and leave us with a new side. That's pretty unfair on Bell, who's managed to come out of the Flower era without being damaged by it. But, he's not a player I ever felt any fan-ish attachment to.
