Yes, I was thinking that! No fireworks or excitement yet this season really. I do wonder who they get to write the BBC match reports sometimes. Yesterday's on Hants v Notts says Hampshire have now 'won one and drawn two'. Don't they have a look at the tables before they write?

I've been on here! In his last post he commented about AFCB being top of the Championship, but that was back in January, nothing since.

We're currently playing a t20 warmup vs Dorset. Shah, Arafat, Wood and Edwards in for Dawson, Berg, A Adams and Tommo. McManus and Barber are both playing for Dorset.

How do you feel about signing Yasir? He must have played for every county by now! I think he's still got the fire.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm seriously underwhelmed. Infact I'm seriously underwhelmed by all the signings thus far, Adams, Berg, Bird, Arafat.......I'll give Fidel a chance as I've always looked on him a as cricketer with a bit of spark and the edgy attitude you need as a fast bowler.

Vince to fly from Ireland to Headingly in private jet with three of the Yorkies to play on Sunday in the CC game. I gather their test players will be rested. Still, pretty strong......

Bird is no longer flying back to Aus for treatment, and has even been doing a bit of Hants PR work with Solent Uni this week. We're now hopeful that he'll be fit sometime next month, hopefully around the same time that Fidel leaves for his few weeks of playing in the Caribbean PL.

Hampshire are without captain @Jhkadams for the trip to @Yorkshireccc with his wife expecting their second child.

Terry is in the squad, presumably Carbs opens with Dawson, Smith at 3, Vince stays at 4 and Terry/Slug and Wheater in any order at 5/6/7

Hoping for some rain then, mind you even with our full strength sign its likely to be hammering, bearing in mind they're better than England!
