While it may be that many will relish yet another opportunity (probably the last) to enjoy KP being made to look a chump by England and the ECB, I wonder if this rather shocking humiliation will attract a little sympathy from the less entrenched.

And he got an outright majority.

not the end of it yet, Since I am hearing the new coaches want the option of recalling KP if needed since they will be under severe pressure if they lose the Ashes, NZ,SA,Pak tours.

If few people wanted the job last time, imagine how few the number will be now.

Still can't believe ECB don't how to deal with it, All Strauss had to say is if KP scores runs consistently and a spot opens up for him in the team he could be picked.
If I am honest he got 10% chance of getting picked for test, 1% for ODI and about 50-60% for the T20.

So in reality KP was never getting picked for england this summer, but now ECB given KP the moral high ground again.
Just keep your mouth shut or give a vague answer to the press.

Test he only gonna get picked if england losing the ashes 1-0 with 1 or 2 test to play and ballance, Root, Ali, Stokes or who ever fails with the bat.
ODI can't see it happening.
T20 quite easy not to pick him this summer and make the excuse of trying young exciting players but could be picked on the T20 world cup squad.

Id hate to be a Div 2 bowling attack if he stays at Surrey. If his batting is anything like his book, this could be the first of many eggs he smashes into Strauss face.

One can only dream.

Its sad really. The press conference tomorrow will no doubt not contain the fierce grilling that they deserve, and will be another stage show of the usual journalists selling an unpopular myth to its punters. The ECB and its minions really need to start listening to the ground swell

well yeah, but can't see gillespie or any great coach taking the job.
so basically nothing would change in terms of the cricketing set up.
