I've always felt that the coach should have to fit the same criteria as the players. I'm old school though, but I think citizenship should be required. I would not be able to watch Australia play with an English coach. I've still never gatten over Keppler Wessels, but I guess he did obtain citizenship.

It would be a great move by England and a brave move by Gillespie, but it won't sit well with me that's for sure. To see him standing up there in the first test will be strange regardless of the result.

Best man for the job for me irrespective of nationality whatever the sport.

In fact I think a bit of southern hemisphere positivity, aggression and straight talking could work wonders with the general cautiousness and reserve of the English.

The records of recent coaches Flower and Fletcher against Lloyd and Moores suggest it is a good way to go.
