Not quite Headingley 81, but England have turned this game round big time.

Wow crazy batting, but I guess is better than hanging your bat out for an edge.

Can't believe Warnie is talking about the Kiwis ever having a chance of winning this at the start of their batting. He's been in England too long.

The difference is New Zealand got lazy in their first innings. Whereas in the 81 Ashes series England performed, and Botham in particular, major heroics. Benaud said himself he thought it was the greatest all round performance ever.

Ha they are talking about it now.

Stokes could be a greater cricketer than Botham if he keeps this up.

Personally I would bowl him in very short spells.

Certainly England were not in the sort of deep hole yesterday that they were in that day in 1981 when Dilley joined Botham at the crease...but I must admit Stokes' innings yesterday did bring back memories of Botham's ...
The speed with which the game turned - in this case from likely draw at best to a serious winning chance - was similar.

Anderson seems to have decided to play the same way...
