Have only just realised we started a four day game yesterday.

Pattern repeated, a good start, a middle order collapse, and Vince is still rubbish.

Worcestershire are vulnerable, apparently pattern of their season is that they have taken a first innings lead on all but one occasion but then faded away in the second half of matches. Exception was the one win where they beat Somerset by an innings.

They could still collapse, not sure if that middle order is too reliable so a couple of early wickets might open the floodgates.

First time this season that one of our four day matches has (finally) got to me. So far, I can't find one single positive. We've even lost Wheater and Smith to injury (Vince had to keep in the evening session).

If we lose this, you've got to start expecting a return to D2.

Let's hope this is the low point in the season and things can only get better.

The coach suggests this is as bad as we have been in last 12 months.

Looking pretty desperate at the Rose Bowl at the start of the fourth day. I guess they may bat out the day, otherwise its an extremely poor points return for this game.

If you can get a draw there's still hope because I think most of the teams in this division are fairly evenly matched-Warwickshire look the standouts to me and Yorkshire will probably start converting draws into wins.
Durham currently top but we have looked vulnerable in all of the games so the teams we have beat are even more so and that must mean that Hampshire will have chances to win matches-still a lot of games to go so no reason why you can't get out of the bottom two.

Things looking poor at the Rosebowl at lunch and Notts about to win, so we'll be cast adrift and on course for dropping straight back to div two.

See little hope in us turning things around, the supposedly strong batting line up isn't firing, and weak bowling attack is completely useless as expected.

Good though to stop Worcester getting their 2nd win.

Bird is in tomorrow's 13 man t20 squad. It may be too early still for him to start, but it's certainly a positive to finally see his name in a matchday squad.

What a shame, Abbott is unavailable to play against us tomorrow night. He's been called back to SA to attend an awards ceremony! Stirling will also be missing for Middlesex, as he's playing for Ireland.

An awards ceremony?! Seems an odd reason to miss a game and make an essentially pointless journey to and from SA. The Middlesex faithful will not be impressed.

This thread is reflecting the poor run that Hants are currently having in the CC. I might have to get more enthused for the limited over stuff.
