With a full calendar of games in Scandinavia at the weekend, its believed that Sweden will only play a team based outside of Scandinavia, and they are already missing Martin Olsson, Fareund, Granquist and Lustig through injury. Zlatan will play, he seems very desperate to play and sink Norway. Norway are missing some important players, Morten Gamst Pedersen/Berisha/Mats Møller Dæhli/ Tore Reginiussen/Ruben Yttergård Jenssen all will not play, and Jenssen is the creative heart beat of the midfield, Reginiussen is in my opinion the best defender in Norway, and Dæhli adds some much needed flair and pace to the unit.
Its a very interesting game because the footballing culture in Norway at the moment is very positive due to the rise of Ødegaard, and there is genuine belief that with Sweden arguably the worst they have ever been in a while, Norway could be on the verge of being the best team in Scandinavia. I think we are still 3-4 years away from that myself as Sweden have the more established team, but they can win this game, although I don't expect it.
Been a lot of salvo's being fired in the press..... the Norwegians are taking the mick out of Zlatan after a deaf person filmed himself meeting Zlatan and taking the piss out of him with sign language while Zlatan just nods and smiles....... in return, the Swedish press released a "best players of Scandie history" list and included no Norwegian players.
Stage is set. Its a game both teams clearly want to win, should be competitive... Sweden by one goal if you asked me.
Still remember the Swedish press making the most of their cross country win at the last Olympics
No need for that, is there!!!Gingerfinch wrote:Wales are 1 up against Belgium. Some bloke called Bale with the goal.

If it stays like this then Wales have a great chance to make the finals.
