I've already drifted away from England and the selection of a national coach who's an Australian and worse still a ODI/T20 specialist has lowered my interest even further. Putting the shorter versions of cricket at the heart of English cricket is similar to BBC making Eastenders it's flagship progreamme which they've done. Dumbing down seems to be the way of the world these days.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Don't see what's wrong with that. The World Cup is the ultimate in international cricket.

Even if you are a Test fan, we've won the Ashes loads of times already and have reached number 1 in the world. We've never won a World Cup though which is pretty disgraceful for such a major nation.

It's unarguable that the WC is the ultimate in limited overs cricket. It's debatable if it is overall.

We have, the T20.

Since the inception of T20 I don't hold the ODI World Cup in the same esteem I used to.

New Zulland know that they need to score 450 to 500 runs against this formidable England line up just to have a sniff.
