Had Ajmal Shazhad not got injured last month, I reckon he would be in contention for an England recall. I'm surprised Tim Bresnan hasn't got recalled, just to fill a void. I suppose the Overton call ups mean England are looking into the future.

No domestic one day cricket being played just yet makes player identification all the more difficult. Surely there are a few players in the County Cricket who do play red ball cricket are more suited to white ball cricket.

Watching this match certainly highlights the gap between most limited over players and test matches. Some of these blokes look very much like club cricketers.
