Game had gone a bit flat for them.

Yes Australia were marching onto victory, but that will make them think now England have a chance. :)

Watson out LBW again, just before the tea break. Close to end now.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Ladbrokes wont let me have a bet on Mitchell being the next batsman out.

Love that he reviewed it again....Watson never believes he is out. A bet as a kid he never left the crease when you hit him in front

Always informative and genuinely love being in the box IMHO.

Have to say I like Ponting a lot on the evidence of this match. Have been going off Holding a bit lately.Still love the voice though.

Suppose in fairness this time he was the last batsman and they might as well try it . But you're right : he would have reviewed it anyway :)

I'm surprised Watson LBW isn't printed in the scorecard automatically.

He could change his name by deed poll to this.

Met Holding at Lilac Field in Perth many a year ago. He was fielding on the boundary for West Indies versus some old and young Aussie side. I think Lillee and Marsh were playing and Thomo, but were all retired.

I had my new SLR camera and asked him if I could take a photo of him. He said "of course you can, just wait till the end of the over". He turned around and gave me a big smile.

Pretty cool guys back then.

Geoffrey Boycott says he should be made to practice in the nets without wearing pads!

Far better to be out LBW than bowled if anyone on here has ever played the game. Boycott should know better as he had one of the greatest forward defences ever. Unfortunately he didn't match it with intelligence.

Watson is what he is basically....................just barely surviving in the test world. I don't think he should be in the side IMHO, but the selectors love him.

Yep, would have been crazy not to review it and could have easily swung down leg side. Had it been given not out and then another inch wide (2.5cm), and England reviewed it would have stayed not out. So it wasn't ridiculous and Johnson told him to review it.

Watto and Haddin have had great careers, but Australia, like England have, need to move on.

The England selectors and new coach have clearly proved superior in this test by making the gutsy calls. :salute

Ha,ha I just told my wife Haddin made some crucial misses and she said "They've still got Haddin"?

Ok there's 2 minutes to go before tea is up. The ground is full of non cricketing players and not a player in sight. :?
