Good to see that we've finally dropped Gatting. And I'm not surprised at all that we've rested Bird and Fidel ahead of the 4dayer on Friday.

Shame about those two quick wickets, particularly yet another stupid run-out. We were flying until that point. Need one of these two to make a 100, you'd think.

ECB's announcement yesterday was to delay the actual announcement until next week. The matter has been referred to their disciplinary committee.

I confident that 280 that is a good score. But I'm not quite confident enough to say that I think it's a match winning score.

Two 100 partnerships in two days from Dawson and Smith. Great, sensible pairing. The fact that we were picking Gatting ahead of Smith for the first few games was just laughable (as is the fact that we're still loaning Dawson out for t20, whilst picking Gatting).

Agree, the forecast doesn't look great for the rest of the match though. Be interesting if we can even squeeze ten overs in, to constitute a match.
