Poor day by most teams standards.

Half decent day from our standards. Hopefully might be able to keep Warks' first innings lead to below 200 now.

If Adams fails 2nd innings, I'd drop him for McManus ( who must feel hard done by to miss out )

Good to see Gatting get a few, keeps his average above 40 ( which no-one else, except Mcmanus can say )

Slug should be fit for the next four day match, so whilst McManus can absolutely feel harshly done by, I think you have to put Slug above him in the pecking.

But yes, absolutely, if Jimmy fails in the 2nd innings then it has to be him to make way. It will though lead to yet another shift in the order for Dawson, which wouldn't be great. We need to find him a place in the order, and leave him there for a bit.

For Imran Tahir in 2008, read Mason Crane in 2015?

99-6 Good for Fidel. Short, short, short, short, pushing Clake back. And then fuller, bang.

Make that 105-7 at Tea. Oh if only Crane hadn't dropped Evans off Bird.

A Mitchell-less Worcs are already one down in their second innings, inside the first over.

105-8

I know you've now got to consider the possibility of them failing to get to the FO target, but I think we'd be stupid to enforce on. Bird and Fidel have done a lot of bowling in this innings, so doubt would benefit from a rest. Crane has taken four wickets on day two, so just think what he might do on day four if given the chance. And our batting is so frail, that even if we were set a chase of just 120, you would worry.

It's so long ago now, it's easy to forget the impact which Fidel had in his last four day game for us. I think that's back-to-back 5-fers for him now - and, fingers crossed, Hants victories on both occasions.

Just shows what you can do when you have a player or two who can take some bloomin' wickets.
