Cricketing justice that. The ball was worthy of a boundary, and only cost 1 run..... result for England

If umpires aren't checking no-balls, maybe they need to find technology to rectify the situation? A small laser which beeps if broken along the back of the line would suffice, if there's no beep it's a no-ball.
Anything can happen with a round ball.

If Anderson was fit, looks like Wood might have been a better choice than Finn. Putting other considerations aside.

They have line technology in tennis and also football so no reason why they can't do it in cricket although the cost will be a factor.

Why aren't umpires checking for no balls?

I should have this saved somewhere as I've posted it a few times but they already have the technology in place to do it

there is a camera on the line 100% of the time so all they need is a dedicated monitor for the 3rd umpire , he is not doing anything else during live action

Would have been ironic if those "no balls" in the Pakistan game five years ago at Lord's hadn't been called...
