Didn't really keep much of an eye on yesterday's game but looking at the table this morning just about every result (including our own!) went against us.

Not even any "just about" to it. Literally every result did.

From potentially going into a shoot-out tomorrow for first place, we now find ourselves sweating just over qualifying.

A win puts us through. A tie or a no-result will 99% put us through, due to our healthy NRR. A defeat sends us out, unless either Kent-Warks is a tie/no-result or Lancs fail to beat Glamorgan.

Cricinfo currently shows rain around tomorrow at Old Trafford and Edgbaston, but sun at Trent Bridge.

OK, number of wins must be a deciding factor before NRR, because apparently we have qualified as a result of that rain-off.

(Although massively, massively unlikely, I think our NRR could fall below Kent's, should we ever get back out).

Worcs are 15-3, and right up against it vs Somerset. Sussex also with a lot of work to do vs Yorks.

Without facing or bowling a ball, our survival chances are continuing to improve.

Forecast showing tomorrow's weather as having cleared up immeasurably, aside from the morning. So even more than usual with a 10.30 start, the side who wins the toss will be at a massive advantage (assuming the choose to bowl of course!).

I'd suggest ten of our players are set in stone. Just a case of if we want Crane, Briggs or Berg (to go with Arafat, Wood, Fidel, Dawson and Smith).

The rain cleared Bristol at 8am and it's set fair for the rest of the day so just depends how quickly the ground dries out after overnight torrential rain. Pitch inspection at 10am (now).
