Would Sri Lanka have dropped keeper-batsmen Chandimal and Kusal Perera just because Sangakkara was keeper? No, you pick your best batsmen even if they have to be keepers as well.

Possibly in 50 over but not in T20 for me.

Give him 10 to 15 overs in a 50 over game I think he could do an ok job, give him 5 in T20 against top quality international death bowling, not for me.
