Somerset 239/0 at lunch. When was the last time the opposition matched Hampshire's 1st innings score for no wickets?

It seems to be the latter on reflection.

Too true. Seven caught behinds suggests the ball may have been moving around a touch. However Somerset haven't had any similar problems and at lunch on day 2 still haven't lost a wicket and are one run away from parity.

And then their number 3 comes in and is in double figures after 4 balls!

May be crucial if we somehow bat for a day and a half over the remainder of the match.

It's nice to see young Mason getting a match or two, at such a crucial time too. If he'd played for his home county, he'd have got the same treatment as Will Beer, whose incredible loyalty must be pretty stretched by now.

Somerset 630/9d. Lead 390. So we need to bat until tea tomorrow at least?

I'd say we've won a session at last after losing the last five in a row. Need to win the next 3 or 4 to save the game.

Was probably missing the stumps but the umpire got bored.

I'd say we just about won the afternoon session, another three should do it!
