Strange though that they travel to Arsenal, Liverpool & Man City and come away with the points yet play Bournemouth & Leicester on their own patch and lose.

Officials don't spot everything, and Costa is canny enough to ensure that his antics almost always take place off the ball (not just yesterday). So whilst he should have seen a straight red once, and been booked at least three other times, if the officials honestly didn't see the incidents then fair enough. But only so long as the FA then take retrospective action.

If they don't take retrospective action, then it will almost certainly be because Mike Dean's match report shows that he and his officials did see the incidents, and he took what action he deemed appropriate at the time (given that would tie the FA's hands, rendering them unable to take further action). In that case, then it's not fair enough at all because Dean clearly would have failed in his duties and refereed the game incorrectly.

City certainly don't need to be worrying about Utd based upon that performance.

Pretty much a repeat of last season's fixture at St Marys. Pelle dominates, De Gea pulls off some wonder saves, and we gift Utd a goal with a horror back pass. And ultimately we lose by one goal.

God knows why we just sat back for about an hour, after such a good opening 20 mins or so. We just let Utd knock the ball around, despite them not exactly threatening us, and when you let quality players have the ball, inevitably they'll score at some point. So in that respect, I have no complaints about the final score. Fingers crossed that Martial continues to score though, as hopefully that will finally lead to Rooney being dropped. Aside from spending the first 30 mins complaining to Clattenburg every two minutes, he was anonymous. If you want to challenge for the title or for the Champions League, you can't be carrying passengers.
