Gawd knows why, but I am a little surprised. Who next? King Kenny? :P

Hard to judge him, simply because Liverpool fans have a heightened opinion of their team. He bought crap players, but could he get the sort of player the fans wanted without risking buying the odd duffer?

He did spend nearly £300m and only about two or three of those players have actually been any good. It's been coming for a long time and i'm pretty certain it is the right decision. Klopp or whoever comes in can't really do worse than Rodgers has done over the last year and a half.

Klopp must be lined up, otherwise this will be a massive mistake.

Nah whoever comes in can't do any worse. Rodgers has been absolutely useless since they came 2nd. Klopp, Ancelotti, Favre, De Boer would all do a better job.

The mistake will be not having someone line up, and then scrambling to find someone, anyone.

But i reckon Klopp will be the next manager.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal speaking to Sky Sports: “When you start like that you can never win a game, we lost every duel, every second ball, not tight on their midfielder, and they can play they are a fantastic team when you let them give them that space it is difficult.
“That was the worse United have been under me, we were not able to give a normal performance.
“I have never seen that of my team, that is the question I put to my players. You can not solve that now, a lot of emotion and I am emotional as well.
“I could not change anything, if it was just one player then I can take measure but it was more than half of my team who were not doing what we had agreed in our game plan.
“I am shocked, you don’t expect it, we were top of the league, won last four matches and have to protect our position, possible against Arsenal. Way we had started, so without emotion. Not expect that, difficult to understand and will have to look for the reasons."
"It was a very bad start, without aggression and the will to win. That is the first time I have seen that from my team. I did not expect that.
"We have won our last four matches, I gave the players a day off because they were tired. On Saturday the training was normal, I was very amazed to see that.
"All teams will have a dip."

Van Gaal watching a similar game to everyone else for once.

Certainly grounded in reality, not as entertaining as Jose though.

Two PL bosses gone in one day.

Odds on Jose being the third tomorrow with Ancelotti possibly in place?
