I've said it before and I'll say it again....this is a strange season.

My theory id The Ferguson Factor.

Man Utd were always the team to beat so other teams had to up their game. Every week to compete. At least four or five did year in year out. Now Fergie has gone and Utd are not so good (If you can call 4th place not so good) that other teams don't try so hard anymore, hence the inconsistent results.

Great result for Arsenal that. Injury list as long as their arm, just been smashed by Bayern, and were totally outplayed for at least 45 minutes today. Indeed, with better head placement from Giroud, the scoreline would have been a comfortable win.

Two week international break now. Hopefully one or two players will be back come their next match.

They go to Chelsea next. If Chelsea win that, they'll go above Liverpool. That's the same Chelsea who are having a season worse than anyone could ever have predicted.

Still found no reason to change this view, yet. Defeat at home to Palace is a poor result.

He might yet turn out to be a great appointment, but unlike most, I'm very much in the wait and see camp.

He's got his work cut out, not a great squad, defence consistently shipping goals, and with Sturridge injured the attack is pretty impotent. Benteke hasn't done much yet, I don't rate him that highly.
